We signed on with Access Accounting in early June, and in just 4 months of working with them we experienced more discrepancies and errors than the bookkeeper we'd had prior for over 2 years. We were bounced between at least 3 bookkeepers, found incorrect reconciliations which required extra work on my part, and failed to let us know they had filed a tax return a month late which caused us to incur a $1,000+ fine from the IRS. Prior to working with them we had a 100% clean record with the IRS. Luckily I was able to get the fee waived due to our clean record, but when I informed Access Accounting they never apologized for THEIR oversight and instead said they were glad we got it sorted out...I also received several calls within 24 hours of a tax deadline demanding information from us. Not the types of calls you need as a small business owner - overall, they just never made our business a priority and for the price they charge you are better serviced somewhere else.
