I started working for American Staffing years ago and have worked for them off and on since then with no major problems. I recently applied there again and got a job at a local warehouse and was to start on Monday and I just finished the application process on Friday which i thought was great. I was excited to start my new job and started making preparations right away. The employee told me that if I can't make it for any reason to call her and she will see if i can start on another day or send me on another job assignment. Well it just so happens that i suffer from chronic pain sometimes and it just had to flare up when i was to start work. I called the person back to let her know what happened and to ask if i could start another day and she told me that I can't work for American Staffing ever again because since 2012 i've been a no show for other assignments which is a lie. I was told that i did not have to take every job assigned to me by past staff members. And i can recall turning down only one job assignment since I've worked for them because of an issue with there not being enough lockers and someone stealing my candy out of the locker. I also believe that i was given the shaft to cover their own asses because another staff member was rude to me and i didn't even do anything. Maybe if people would treat people the way that they want to be treated then this world could be a better place for us all. Not just for white people or rich people.

In reply to your reply, here are a couple of things things you didn't to very well. I was on an evening assignment and had worked for about a week. I called the morning I was scheduled to work to confirm I would be there. When I got there, had clocked in and was waiting about twenty minutes for work to begin, I was told I would be sent home. Why did you waste my time?You deducted the price a credit report from my check. My credit reporting service did not report that you ran a credit report on me. I must therefore conclude that you simply took the money. Your company and I are through.***** Your reply in my opinion is not truthful. At the time I reported, there were more than double the usual number of employees waiting to work. It was not a lack of supplies. Rather, your client purposefully asked for more employees and you did not make any arrangements to let those of us who were released know. So, as best I can discern, you did waste my time.I also note that I had never been late, and my accuracy and production were easily in the top 25 percent of those assigned. So your client offered shabby treatment for excellent work.As for the report, as best I can remember, the detail on the pay stub was for a credit report, not a criminal background check. Assuming you are right and I am mistaken, that background check seemed to be pricey. In the work I do now, my criminal background checks are run regularly, and the cost is so minimal that I am not charged anything for it.

If you want to work like a slave for minimum pay, then this is the place for you. Also if you want your time wasted, this is the place for you. Very dishonest and they don't care about your preferences. They also have very poor communication and organization skills.i would give this company 0 stars if I could.

i really give them minus 2 stars, rude, ignorant, dishonest, evil, they look down on applicants. ..and a black gay guy with a VERY bad attitude, aint my fault you're gay.... they will cheat you out of your pay and pay others, doing the same job as you,....more than you. this company really sucks..SUCKS.., THEY ALL NEED TO BE TRAINED, RE TRAINED ON COMMON MANNERISMS...I'D FIRE EVERYBODY IN THAT OFFICE. ADDECO IS A GREAT TEMP AGENCY, WESTAFF IS TOO..AVOID THESE CRUMB SNATCHERS...

American Staffing is awesome. I've been with them for over 9yrs and Rebecca is amazing, so whoever thinks she isn't then reanalyze things once again. Talk to her with respect and she'll be the same to you. She is just a straightforward person and has to represent the company. She does well...

I rate 5 star because it a very good company to work for. Im 5 month in and I been at 3 diffrent job site so far for american staff. I never had a problem with the company itself. Im now hired in Earth City, Thanks to American Staff.

The thing that gets me is that they charge you for protective gear that's already provided for you at your assignment free of charge, further more, they don't seem to 'remember' when to pay their employees. I wasn't aware that we, the temps, were responsible for paying ourselves. On top of that, they don't pay overtime, despite you working over 40 hours in a week. They're focused on driving you harder and harder so they can squeeze every cent out of you.
