I hired Rosine to file a simple tax exempt form for my nonprofit in April of this year. In August, her secretary called me and told me that instead of filing the proper form I requested, they were going to file an extension and that I would owe more money toFile the correct form. I informed her that I never asked for an extension so why would I owe more money? She stated that she would let rosine know and they would file the correct tax form. When I called for my tax documents in November believing that my taxes had been filed already, I found out that they still went ahead and filed an extension against my wishes. Therefore, my taxes were never filed!! Rosine tried to request $200 additional to file my form although I already paid and it had been almost seven months since I paid her. She stated that she gave me a discount and now she no longer wanted to file my tax form because the system was requesting more money from her. What?! Rosine was very unprofessional, never apologized for the mix up, stated that she never received this information from her secretary, took weeks to call me back or return my calls (I had to leave a stern message and set up an in person meeting before she had the decency to call me back) and instead of filing my form, she decided to refund my money, which took over three weeks to receive in the mail after our phone call. I would never recommend this unprofessional company to anyone. I now have to find a new tax preparer to clean up the mess Rosine created and file my correct form. DO NOT FILE YOUR TAXES HERE.
