People who work in this agency are the nastiest. There is a black woman who yelled "We don't need your age" when I first go there to look for job infront of everyone. I am 40s and I was discriminated by age by those cheeky people working at the professional office. They don't understand the fact that the United States itself has equal employment opportunities. I will definitely take action for this act. It is very unforgiving.

I applied to a training program and informed them of this. I have been coming here for over a month now and in all that time they have spent a total of 2 days in assisting me in finding a job that would fit my hours. Outside of the 4 days for customer service class I have done nothing here but sign in wait till 4 and sign out. I am quite confused as to what exactly is their job here as I can apply for jobs at home. they have done incredibly little to help me find work outside of the hours I will be attending classes (contact a single employer in over a month... this is not an exaggeration). 3 stars because they generally help people and I feel like my situation isn't the rule but the exception.

Well where do I start ive been in this program many times and to no avail do I retain employment because of them it's always based off my own personal hard work but I digress I had a really bad experience I was wrongfully infracted because of a workers negligence I advise anyone who attends be on top keep documents of everything because these ppl can create issues and the pick and choose who to be concerned with I had to go to the Bronx back to FEDCAP for a full week almost lost my benefits (a city program which is helpful) request another referral just to be back here today keep proof of everything don't miss any days send emails find work or school or a trade fast this program will really test ur patience

Careful of signing any documents, expect you to be sitting around, waste of resources very bad interaction with a staff member. I had volunteer thru the Court for a HRA "Step Program" I was not aware this program is a set up, and clearly for failure.I had an appointment for a follow up in regards to a License I was not aware I had to meet with a so called career advisor, stated their was alledge miscommunication, She also stated to me that she had to report to the judge, making threats.I did not concent to any "free" or volunteer time, specially 120 hours a month, only to just sit around on a program that's very poor and not consistant with veterans needs, career opportunities, training or assistance.This Program is more geared towards Welfare recipient and failure. I was not aware that it's not a HRA direct program,This was my first time at this location its located right next Public Assistance Office a bad area, I was not aware AW is not part of HRA and was very confused that this are the individuals in charge of alledgelly helping in getting into a job training program, got a rude awakening since I already have the background and history of employment.I was very discouraged, the female alledge that I have to do 120 hours a month (No pay) the career adviser / Corporate Representative Ms. Spears MA was very quick to state to me of reporting negatively to the support Magistrate for FC, a program that I had volunteer to attend in good faith to ratified arrears base of erroneous math by said Magistrate, even thought I already and previously is actively working with Veterans specialized organizations assisting me in finding employment including AW.This place in Jamaica Queens is overall a very disappointing substandard location. execellent if your a freeloader a, on Public Assistance, Lack Educational background and you never have a job or Training, this place appears more like a Probation Office then a active work environment, very disappointed.I will keep anyone posted who's interested in knowing additional information.
