I was contacted by Joe Goulet in August 2016 and had a good initial discussion with him via phone. He asked questions that were slightly better than the usual recruiter fare. However, he contacted me after I'd already been talking to another recruiter there, and essentially just pushed her out of the way. He brought me in for an in-person meeting, which I thought was rare for a recruiting agency, to actually meet someone before sending them to a client. At the end of our talk, which seemed to go well, Joe asked me if I'd like for him to contact me every week or so to keep me posted on any opportunities. At this point, Blue Chip became a black hole. I never again heard from Joe. My expectations were not unreasonable, as I was able to find a position on my own within a month. But the experience of being ghosted by one of their recruiters left me with a bad impression, so I've been ignoring all of the subsequent unsolicited requests coming from Blue Chip every few months (not that I'm looking anyway). I'd rate one star because of this experience, but I'm given to understand this is fairly common practice among recruiters now, and the fact that they wanted to meet me before sending me on-site to a client interview still counts for something.
