I started using Brandt and Associates when I lived in Virginia. I have since moved overseas but still use them. Even as complicated as taxes can be when moving around, adopting a child, buying/selling property, etc they have always been very professional, thorough, and helpful. My agent has been Ben Jones and he's been great to work with - done a great job every year.

Mr. Brandt and his office staff have always been professional, and very friendly. I believe the service fees are higher than other CPAs, but I've been going to Mr. Brandt for years and will continue to do so.

This review couldn't wait...I just left the office and had to pull over to write this. I had a consult with Shelly Armstrong about amending a mess up of mine using Turbo Tax, and I cant speak highly enough about my experience here at Brandt. Shelly was personable, knowledgable, and shes not trying to make a quick buck.That was the most efficient consult I've ever experienced. If you're in the Alexandria/Arlington area, you wont be disappointed with Brandt & Associates. PS: The front desk admin ( I wish I asked her name) is the epitome of customer service. I cant wait to file with them next year.

I had a meeting this week with Ben Jones at Brandt & Associates. Before I walked in the door I had a half dozen questions about how to handle my Mother’s tax return, and I was a bit stressed. By the time I left I was completely at ease and had an answer to every question… and then some. I don’t have many dealings with accounting firms and have always prepared my own return, but I have to say that this is precisely the kind of organization where I feel comfortable. I found Ben to be extraordinarily helpful. He was casual but professional, and adept at identifying and solving what I thought were difficult problems. He was able to cover everything I originally came in for and a number of potential issues that had not even occurred to me. It’s always a pleasure to do business with people who are competent and enjoy their work, and I left there a happy client.

We have used Brandt & Associates for the last three years with great results. Always fast, good customer service, and spot on. Even when we moved out of the area, they continued to prepare our returns. Looking through most of the bad ratings, a common theme emerged. Last minute returns during tax season. They are a small family owned business who WILL take the time to work with you if you have patience yourself and are courteous.

I've been doing my own taxes for a decade but 2018 was an exception and I decided to seek professional services. I'm very pleased with Brandt and Associates (and Shelly) for taking the time to address my concerns, find all the things I've missed, and explain with great detail the things I didn't understand. 10/10 will continue filing my taxes here going forward.
