If you are looking for an expert to prepare your return accurately, Wendy is the tax professional for you. Clients with complex issues may have to be patient as Wendy is a very busy lady, and for good reason! With that being said , peace of mind and accuracy is well worth the wait!

As someone who owns a business based heavily on referrals myself, I am absolutely appalled at how I was treated by this entire company. I was referred to Wendy but only corresponded with her via email because she never returned my calls and very rarely returned my emails. I sent her my information, broken down into very specific details, over a month ago and asked if she could complete my return before I left the country on April 7th for spine surgery. She told me “absolutely, yes”. Since then, I have either emailed or called no more than once per week to ask if additional information was needed or for any update. When she finally requested additional info, weeks later, I asked her for clarification as to exactly what documents she needed and she failed to respond for almost 10 days. She finally responded saying that she thought her assistant had responded to me and that it was “totally their fault” and that they had “dropped the ball”. She still didn’t answer my question clarifying what she needed so I sent to her 50 pages of information, knowing what she needed would be in there somewhere. I asked for confirmation of receipt: nothing. Another week went by and I emailed again: nothing. So, this morning I called and also emailed asking her to call me TODAY. Instead, at 10:35pm her assistant called me and told me that I was “barraging” then and that I could take my business elsewhere but that I would never find someone to complete my return before I leave. She absolutely right! They have put me in the worst possible position! They have wasted over a month of my time and now I’ll have to file an extension because she’s right, no one will be able to complete it before I leave for a very risky and expensive surgery, during which I really didn’t need to be stressing about my taxes! Again, I run a business based on referrals so I don’t make this review lightly. I will do everything I can to make sure people are aware of the kind of person they are getting into business with. The way her assistant spoke to me was unbelievable. She basically shamed me for requesting updates and accused me of being “demanding” when I was upset that after being told they could “absolutely” complete my return before I left, no one had the decency to let me know that wouldn’t happen.STAY AWAY!

I called to make an appointment to get my taxes done but was told to drop off my information instead. Not knowing these people I was hesitant and thought I would ask a few questions regarding taxes. It was apparent they didn’t know more than me on changes with the new tax law. Not recommended!

The staff was extremely helpful and the preparers were very knowledgeable and explained things in detail when I called several times to get advice on a complicated tax matter. Of course, I chose them for the actual tax preparation and i definitely made the right choice! I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable my fee was too, almost half of what I had paid my prior tax place for a much easier tax return. I highly recommend CMS to everyone I know. I’m impressed to say the least!
