This is the worst billing service ever! They do not send out Bills so I am not sure how you are supposed to know that you owe a bill. I called to let them know I had been working with my insurance company the lady told me that she would note it. Not to long after that I received a collection notice. I had a procedure done that was supposed to be covered in full. Once again I called them they were so NOT HELPFUL. I ended up having to pay the bill so it wouldn't hurt my credit. Once I paid it then my insurance company came backand paid also. I had to repeatedly call inquiring when I was to expect my refund. The workers that Ihave spoken with evidently come in that job with no experience because they sound absolutely clueless. When I had received the collection notice and called them I was told that they couldn't really tell me anything because they are limited on what they can see. They advised me to call the collection agency for more information. I called them and was told that they do not have much information to give me and they would have to contact this company for more info. Ridiculous I know! So finally I did receive my refund check. Three months after getting my refund check I got another collection notice in the mail for a different amount. Once again no bill sent had no clue until I got this notice. So once again I call them they can't tell me anything I need to call the collection agency. So here I go again calling them. I was told again they do not have much info and they would have to contact CMSI. It has been 1 1/2 weeks and still no call back from them. I have now had to pay a $260.00 bill that I should owe nothing on. These people are very uneducated in their field. I have worked in medical billing for years so evidently I know how to read an eob which shows I owe nothing. Let me add that I ask for documentation showing where I owed this and was not able to accommodate my request. In all my years working in medical billing I have never seen business done like this. Unfortunately if you are having a procedure done at the local hospital you have NO CHOICE on who you can use therefore you stuck with these so called billing specialist.
