Overall Feedback:
This is NOT the firm of Tara Nolan anymore. It stinks that her name is tarnished by the jokers she sold the firm to, but the H&R block folks who took over are the worst. Pleasant, yes - fine - but they literally finally emailed me today that they're "finally ready to start my 2017 taxes" after telling me 70 days ago on Apr 16 that they were SO SORRY for the bad communication previously (it had been 30 days since I had last heard from them about doing my taxes, and it was just to let me know they were filing an extension and to pay something for NYS - no instructions as to where, and never answered my question of if I had the right place - nothing). That makes 100 days since the last substantive conversation. Is that an acceptable turnaround for you? Sure isn't for me. Having to scramble to take care of things with the IRS, NYS, and others with zero guidance is NOT something I should be worrying about with a CPA. Tara was on top of everything and always made sure I knew what was going on, where our money was, where it wasn't, and what to expect. She dealt with the IRS, NYS, and took care of everything. This really just is an H&R block with a fancier name and much higher fees (seriously - their email is even h&r block). I don't blame Tara because it sure seems like she was sold a bill of goods about this company. They have not lived up to what they promised me as a customer, or what they had told her they would do. It's such a disappointment.
