This was my second year to use Kevin as my tax preparer, and he blew me out of the water yet again. He is quick to get in touch with you, and he never makes you feel like he's too busy to provide you with the very best service. You simply upload your forms to an online portal and he does it all for you. Kevin is so knowledgeable and takes the stress out of filing taxes, making sure to explain things in a way you'll understand and ensuring that you take the correct legal steps to maximize your return. His services are fairly priced, too. I'll never do my taxes with TurboTax again. Thank you, Kevin! You're a true jewel!

I am flabbergasted by these reviews based on my current experience. It is currently 9:30 on April 15, 2019 and I have not heard anything from Emerald Advisors about two tax returns they are supposed to be doing for me. I gave them the materials on March 6, inquired on April 8, was told it just needed to be reviewed and that would be done that day or the next, inquired again on April 12, was told it would be done over the weekend and to check my email, nothing all weekend and now no one is replying to my calls or emails. This is extremely unprofessional and stressful. I am preparing to file an extension on my own and just guess what I might owe as I don't know what else to do. I cannot reconcile my experience with these reviews. Update as of 5/29/19: Kevin O'Reilly contacted me later on April 15 to apologize and explain that he had been overwhelmed. To his credit, he took full responsibility and did not try to make excuses. He filed an extension that day and contacted me within the month with my completed taxes ready to file. He assured me that new procedures would be in place for next year. Perhaps all the positive reviews led to too much growth to manage. I am planning on giving him another chance next year as I trust that he is going to address the communication issue so this doesn't happen again.UPDATE: Kevin O'Reilly contacted me later on April 15 to apologize and explain that he had been overwhelmed. I agree with Ms Bradley . This string of five star reviews doesn’t seem to be in keeping with my experience. I have used this service a few times, and encountered incredible unreliability. In the end, I engage another provider to do the return.

I went to Kevin after discovering an error that my previous tax preparer had made several years back which resulted in a very significant overpayment of taxes. Kevin amended the old returns and worked diligently to cut through the red tape, resulting in our getting substantial federal and state refunds that we thought we would never see. I recommend Kevin O'Reilly and Emerald Advisors highly!
