I've been wanting to write this for awhile now but didn't want to receive retaliation from them. I came in sometime over the summer and met with Marisa Cazinares who interviewed me, and I have the say, she comes across very curt, cold and not interested. The whole interaction with her made me very intimidated and uncomfortable. I allowed this with the hope that she would be able to find something for me. She found me a couple of temporary positions to which I am very grateful for, but I just can't help but feel that she didn't even try and assigned these positions out of necessity rather than fit. It's been months and she's only recommended me for a couple positions and a few assignments. I understand that things are slow, but I really think that she just does not care as evident with her behavior. Also, attention to detail is sorely lacking here. I submitted my weekly timesheet and explicitly asked them to cancel my direct deposit as I closed my account. This was obviously overlooked by whomever processes payroll and now my money is in limbo somewhere. Further, I was sent on an assignment, worked one day, and caught the flu. I called in sick the next day thinking I would feel better to continue the day after. Unfortunately, my symptoms got worse and I called in again and mentioned that in all good conscience, it might be better to find someone else at that time. I hear nothing from them for over a week but send Marisa an email about a position I see they have posted. She sends me a message back stating that they cannot work with me anymore because I quit my last assignment. What was I suppose to do when sick? They don't care and this is obviously retaliation from expressing my opinion of Marisa directly. They obviously do not want to work with me, and I do not want to work where one is punished for speaking up.#boycottexpressemploymentprofessionalsnorthportlandA review I found. However, Marisa Canizares, their "Administrative Staffing Manager", is one of the rudest, most unprofessional people I've ever met. This agency does not understand the concept of customer service and does not realize they cannot attract "professionals" once they have established a poor service reputation in the community.
