My extremely poor experience with this business began when I scheduled a new client consultation for individual tax preparation services. I met with a female CPA who asked a few questions, gave me an estimate for the preparation, and said that I should hear back that my return was ready for filing in 2 weeks or less. 3 weeks went by and no call. I called them and spoke to a very rude receptionist who eventually said that she needed to ask me some more questions before my return could be filed. I inquired as to why I hadn't gotten a call from them since this was a time sensitive matter. She did not have an answer and proceeded to ask me the exact same questions I had already answered during the consultation. I answered them again and asked when I could expect to hear back on the status of my return. She said I would get a call the next day from someone named Matt. My consultation had been with a woman, but as it turns out: apparently she had nothing to do with my return. And- surprise! I did not get a call the next day. So I called back today and spoke with Matt who I assume must have been the person actually responsible for preparing my return. He said he didn't have time to talk and would have to return my call. I indicated that this answer was unacceptable since I have been trying to get answers for over 3 weeks now. He began to ask me the same questions AGAIN that I had already answered twice- during my consultation and again on the phone with the receptionist. I politely expressed my frustration that I had already gone over this with them twice already and that based on the information we discussed in the consultation, I expected that my return would have been filed over a week ago. He essentially ignored this statement and repeated the questions again, remarking that he was a "professional." I said thanks, but I’d like to pick up my documents as soon as possible since I was concerned that my return would not be filed properly given the constant miscommunication. He said “ok, you do that.” And hung up on me! Is that how a "professional" behaves towards clients? 3 weeks of my time wasted, I picked up my documents shortly after that abbreviated conversation and happily began the search for a CPA with integrity. I will not recommend this business in the future as they were unable to offer me any services or even an apology for my time wasted.
