I went to see David today for a consultation. I'm a little overwhelmed with taxes having just gone self employed and moved house, but he is obviously very very experienced and knows the tax world like the back of his hand. I'm glad that I found him and looking forward to working with every year.

What a total scam and waste of time. We called a week prior to make an appointment with J. David Wilson. We spoke to Raj or Roush ( not sure on spelling) and he said Mr. Wilson will give you an estimate cost in 5-10 minutes and you can choose to proceed or leave. We got to our appointment and a lady gave us new paperwork to complete and then told us we need to pay $100 non refundable fee just to have Mr. Wilson speak to us or take a peek at our taxes. We explained when we called a week ago and set this appointment that this is not what we were told. She went to talk to Mr. Wilson and she came back and said he wants $100 just to talk to us!! How unprofessional and questionable are these work ethics! Needless to say we left and found a much better and honest CPA. This guy needs $100 badly. Avoid this CPA.To their response: We came here as a new client with good faith, and in no way are these false accusations. We were told to pay $100 non refundable to speak to him or have him look at our taxes. The only option they offered us was to leave all our two years of tax information there for him to look at. How crazy is that?! A complete stranger asking for $100 and then wants me to leave all my tax information with him who I don’t know at all! This place is extremely questionable to say the least. They also respond to all negative reviews and attempt to discount everyone! Avoid this place!!!

I had been filing my own "not so many complicated" taxes forever ! I got audited for 3 tax years and was told I owed almost $4k in back taxes. I ran aground when trying to file a very complicated amendment for multiple years. J. David Wilson not only fixed the amended returns but also got me a refund that more than paid for his fee to fix. His pricing is very reasonable and i will not attempt to do this again on my own.
