Client Review on Las Vegas URban League
Feedback:
I see by reading all the posts, it is the consensus of the community that this Urban League is horrible through and through; from the front desk with the exception of Ms. Denise to the executive staff. I witnessed the maltreatment of a Caucasian female with obvious mental challenges during my very first visit to this location back in July 2015. I was referred there by another organization for rental assistance and ended up going through the job training program; I did not need the training but I was new in the city and needed an opportunity to produce financial growth and was told the Family/Employment program could assist. That was a joke!!! The service that I needed (Microsoft Excel Training), the staff struggled with providing it for me because I had a graduate degree. I told the prejudice Customer Service Supervisor (who has since been terminated) that I had a graduate degree when I walked through the door and I was never told that I didn't qualify for the program. They acted as if they were doing me a favor; I felt mistreated. Some of the staff was absolutely terrible and many were lazy which manifested in program after program being shut down. I made two complaints which resulted in a substandard internal wack investigation, but eventually they phased that prejudice individual out. Kudos Administration! And that female staff that I witnessed verbally abuse a client at the front desk was never reprimanded, from what I could tell, and she remained in the same role. It sounds like she is still there after two and half years mistreating people when they walk in for services. I dropped a complaint immediately in their lobby drop box, but the staff who reviewed it stated that she shared it with her supervisor but nothing was ever done about it. She should've been terminated on the spot. I am shocked that the same behavior continues to exist.Someone here stated they would make a complaint to the city. Well I am going to report the problem to the LV Attorney General and to Urban League at the national level. The executive staff has to be completely changed because the same issues persist for years, as determined by the posts and comments here. How is this location still in business, with its substandard and poor customer service?! Perhaps the media can get this question answered.
