Sadly, I do not have a 5 star review. I really don't like doing these negative reviews (and in most cases don't), but I feel I need to in this situation. My business went to Making Cents in early 2017. Things started great, however the experience recently wasn't so great.I was a one man show at that time and did not have accounting experience. That is why I went to Making Cents. We asked Making Cents to handle the quarterlies. I would receive emails regarding my 941, L&I & ESD taxes which stated amounts due and asking if it was ok to pay. I would reply back letting them know it was "ok" within a day. Things appeared to be going smoothly. Business picked up to the point I hired someone to handle the administrative tasks - some of those tasked being accounting related. My employee indicated to me that there appeared to be several tax filings missing according to quick books.I called Making Cents to find out what was going on and hadn't received a call back after a few days. So I had my employee dig into it. They found that our 941s were not filed or paid since Q3 2017 to present. Also, the amounts that I was emailed for L&I and ESD were not all paid and the ones there did were different from the email. Again, I tried calling to get an explanation as to what was happening and was told by the front desk that I would receive a call back within a day or so and it would be a top priority. Sadly, after multiple attempts, I have not received a call back. Due to several weeks of no call backs, I have had to go to another accounting firm to help straighten things out. I wanted to give Making Cents a chance to explain and/or fix the situation, but I couldn't wait any longer.So, in short, the representative at Making Cents, didn't file or pay taxes and I am now trying to work with the federal government on a payment plan for nearly $12k in back taxes. During this whole time, I and my employee had to figure out the situation without getting a call back from Making Cents. If I received a call back, whether it be good or bad news, I most likely wouldn't be writing this post.I know I am the one "bad" mark on their rating as of making this post. I am sure they have clients that feel they receive great service and I am happy for them. Sadly, I didn't receive that kind of service. If you choose Making Cents, just be cautious and double check things and I hope your experience wasn't like mine
