I had searched high and low for help when the IRS said I owed them for back taxes on an inheritance that I entirely rolled over into a retirement account, but that the IRS was counting as income. The guy who initially did my taxes for that year kept having me do ALL the footwork with the IRS and didn't have a CLUE why the IRS said I owed it. My financial advisor was a little help in at least getting a faxed copy of the check that went from the inheritance fund DIRECTLY into a retirement account, but other than that SHE had no suggestions. It was Drew and Carson Valley Accounting that wrote the IRS a letter along with my documentation that did the trick. I am eternally grateful to Drew and his staff for taking this heavy burden off my shoulders and helping me when no one else I turned to could offer any solutions.
