Hi, I' very been driving for 15 + years. I have worked for 2 large companies and 2 smaller companies. Marten is what I would call a medium size company. The pay is a competitive and benefits are about the same as anywhere else. But if your willing to work, most of the dispatchers will keep you moving. When I remember to let them know a few weeks in advance I get home. When I forget and only give 7 to 10 days notice they try real hard and in 2 and a half years missed once. To those who are willing to stay out 3 to 4 weeks this is a good company to be with. The rest of you that want Sat and Sun off and 8 hour work days, go into fast food or retail, we don't need whiners out here! Remember, we are "Professional Drivers".

Horrible company in general pay isn't what is told it's going to be dispatch doesnt know the rules for georgia weight laws . . Got fired for trailor accident that wasn't my fault asked for a safety council review . They acted like it was a joke . Stayed on the phone 2 min didnt look at driving record . Just said we wish you the best of luck . But they can rest assure they haven't hurd the last of me .

Been working for Marten for over a year now. Came over from my starter company CR England where i was barely taking home $300 a week. Overall I have been very happy about this company. I was on the 99 cent account then moved over to a another account picking up out of Ontario, CA. Take home $700 every week. Home on weekends. Been through 4 main dispatchers and for the most part they have been awesome. Great benefits. I see the other reviews and I can only sprak on my own experiences. Would still recommend them.

After firing me, deducted 199 dollars from my check for hotel cost during orientation and travel expenses to one of their terminals. Be prepared for them to squeeze you if the deturmen your not right for their company. The worst part is I now don't have the money to make it to my sister's wedding. Or pay the electric bill that was scheduled Friday. Thanks

.......Martin is a wrinkly,crusty,ignorant old man,who is basically running a nefarious ,substandard trucking company, that should of went out of business years ago,along with his dispatch office full of local Wisconsin inbred "losers" he "employs".

They are a good company UNTIL God forbid your family gets sick like my husband did. He was given 4-6 months to live without surgery and Marten fired him when he was on medical leave. Labor board was notified, and lawsuit is being discussed but it doesn't replace the struggle they put our family of four through during an already hard time.
