Overall a few Medford police, (The ones not under FBI Investigation, of which there are several) seem almost ok compared to say Chicago!!, but if they get the least bit upset they will break all laws, scream at you in the street cause "They are cops". Medford police will do this in front of your kid, and then wonder why people don't support them. One needed to get by me on his motorcycle to a "call" he got (Or what is more likely he didn't want to wait in traffic so he turned his lights on to PRETEND he got a call!!!! That happens daily around here. and I couldn't see or hear him as his cycle horn is far from loud.He comes up besides me and my 11 year old son and explodes a list of expletives as he flys by. He's lucky he didn't get in a bad accident . MY son started crying. I called the police to report it and they hung up on me. I don't think all cops are bad at all, but 65% act like this so I don't know what to think. My son had this experience. He will always hate the police as a result. Good on the Police.They get what they sow. I didn't tell my son to hate the police. He experienced their insanity AND COMPLETE LACK OF CIVILITY AND JUDGEMENT IN MEDFORD first hand and I do not think he will ever forget it. Cops driving to endanger is a huge issue here in Medford. The traffic laws don't apply to the Medford police when they see a redlight and they don't FEEL it applies to them. . That cop almost got himself killed, he swore vociferously at me and my 11 year old, and then he took off to his "Destination." Of course my son has no respect for the cops. They have no respect at all for the public or EVEN FOR LITTLE CHILDREN. They screamed at him for no reason at all. HE IS 11. What is he supposed to think about such monstrous behavior. And they are so proud of it. My son is Caucasian. I can just imagine how everyone else feels. We tried to like Cops. We did and we failed badly. We told him this was a bad apple and most Cops don't do that. He said "BS don't lie to me" You can't like your abuser. It doesn't work and never will. We do know when crime occurs the police are the last person to call in Medford. They are likely to laugh at you and hang up.

I called the Medford PD for a dog in distress inside a vehicle. The officer who took the call was very polite and thanked me for calling. They arrived on scene very promptly. Thank you for your service!

They are useless and arrogant. I was punched by someone but these officers just let them go. What a ridiculous thing in this modern society!

Sherri or whatever she jarbled out that her name is, who begrudgingly answers the phone is a disgustingly rude person. I called asking if there was a way to check if a police report was made. I had to contact them because I was rear ended and the police officer that came barely spoke a word to me and handed me a piece of paper so I had no idea if one was made for insurance purposes. She became aggressive the second I explained my insurance said I could contact their insurance first and she questioned why I was doing that. Your job is to answer the phone honey not question why I am asking you to re-direct me or tell me where I can go. Either you find your job too hard for your abilities or you hate your life. Either way don’t take it out on someone who would much rather not have to deal with any of you disgruntled employees. Protect and serve right? Find a different job if you can’t behave like a decent human being in this one.

Stop reading Medford Police Department one star. Police always everywhere. We should appreciate what we have. But please. We have now are doing the best they can. It is sad that there were so many robberies that the police can't keep up

They are the worst around. I mean i work 100 hours per week and dont break the law. These pigs came into Somerville took my car and told me to bad come pay. Well you pigs enjoy your miserable life. Legal thugs. Tables are turning as i type. The curtain is coming down.

Thank you to the officer who asdiassi me last Friday night at CVS and coordinated with the fire department and ambulance in getting me to Mass General and coordinated with CVS manager to not have my car ticketed or towed. Thank you for your help.
