On Time requires full payment up front before service is rendered which is quite unusual, given that the person being transported (elderly being discharged from hospital in this case) did not have access to pymt. As POA for the person being transported, I was reluctant to give any credit card info over the phone to someone claiming to be from OTA who I have not done business with (I live too far from their locale to give timely in-person pymt). I asked if they would accept PayPal but they do not have an account! They would also not allow after-service payment by check or cc without charging an extra $15 for invoicing. For a legitimate transport service who provides service to hospitals and assisted living developments, this requirement of on-demand unsecured payment borders on fraudulent business practice. Solution: Open a PayPal (or equivalent) account where immediate secure payment can be provided.
