Everything here was delicious! The feta and herb pizza featured some spicy local peppers and what I believe was homemade or locally sourced feta. The soup of the day (corn and walleye chowder) was perfect, as was the $2(!) bread and butter board. The only thing lacking here is a beer list to match the originality of the food. All Michigan-made beers and ciders, which is great, but a only very tried-and-true selection on draft (Two Hearted, etc.).

Our service sucked...took 20 minutes every time I ordered a drink. Ordered one right before my food arrived and was done eating by the time I received it. Food was good though smore dessert is fabulous!

The meals are quite delicious. Their menu is on the pricier side, but the food is worth it. I recommended it, even if it's for a special occasion once in a while.

Not great for vegans. I was excited to come and try SotE as the reviews touted the amazing quality and localness of the food. I am not a picky vegan by any means (will eat any food if it is vegan) but the options were slim and the server was not helpful in trying to figure out a creative solution to veganize some vegetarian dishes. When I asked about veganizing options the server responded to me with a "we can't do that vegan" and "if it's a diet, butter will be fine for you because it tastes good and treat yourself."I ended up ordering a side salad and roasted brussel sprouts. When the side salad showed up to the table the salad was tossed with a non-vegan egg/milk based dressing and non-vegan croutons. After telling the server I was made another salad sans dressing but the lack of care from the server when they responded "thanks for catching that."My non-vegan eating mates who ordered the stuffed chicken, a burger and the roasted cauliflower that the star of the meal was roasted maple glazed brussel sprouts.

To start with, the food was good and ambiance was nice, LOTS of art on the walls! We were there for a very late dinner. When we got there, the hostess wanted to seat us in the middle of a very busy space and we asked for something a little quieter and off to the side. She said maybe and then left us in the middle of the busy space to go check...made me feel pretty awkward. Once seated, our server was super quick and friendly...then she was cut. Our new server had too many tables at once and did a good job trying to keep up, but another 4top sat right when we did. This made service very, very slow. They had some trouble initially navigating a food allergy, but we settled on a few things.Wine/cocktail selection is great and was very good. The pork belly confit was devoured by my sweetie. Burger with duck eggs and scallops for entrees were very good. They had a unique dessert if a smore/cake and it was yummy!!

Delicious food options, with lots of yummy allergen-friendly options. Only negative thing was that the service was extremely slow--but we were with friends, so we didn't mind so much having plenty of time for conversation :)
