Very unhappy woman at the front desk. Her behavior was shocking, rude and condescending. Long dark hair and could be pretty if she stopped scowling and cracked a smile. No "Hello" or "How are you?" Instead she barked instructions at my "Hello" and smile. "Insurance Card and Order." then she interrupted and talked over me when I tried explain my situation. The office was not crowded: 4 people including me, no reason to be so stressed out and mean. For a moment I considered telling the phlebotomist about it, but it was obvious she wasn't happy either. Not unkind, but totally detached, silent for the most part, and no eye contact.I do not expect to be babied at a lab, but some people going there are sick and worried... especially elders. Common courtesy and professionalism should be a given, I know it is at My job. Maybe it is something going on with management that makes the staff so disgruntled, but where was management? Pretty sure I would have gotten a different reception if the boss had been there. The last time I went there I got a call a day later to come back in because they did not have the correct vessel to process my urine sample....Seriously? I didn't report it, because Things Happen, but today was just too much. Next time I will sit at the hospital and wait 5 times longer because at least they treat patients like humans and oh yeah....customers!
