Linda's blood draws are the best! I am a very difficult person to get blood from. My veins are tiny and well hidden in between bone and muscles. All my life, blood draws consisted of painful digging in my arm, nurses giving up and calling the more experienced person to try to do it. One nurse said: "You are officially my most difficult patient ever to get blood from - second only to a 400lb woman" she had to take blood from at one time. One nurse said: "In cases like yours, we have to cut to get blood from you." Anyhow, it was NO BIG DEAL for Linda. She knew exactly what to do. I hydrated well and she applied heat (she said that really helps) and it did! I forgot to fill in a survey card for her - so I hope she gets credit for taking blood from the "officially most difficult patient to get blood from" ... THANKS, Linda! I won't let anyone but you take blood from me now!
