Client Review on RHI Management Resources

Feedback:

I was working for a client that fired me based on my sexual orientation and disability. Robert Half empathized with me both verbally and in an email that I wasn't at fault and they would continue to submit me for future assignments. This was my fourth or firth assignment through them. So, I filed an EEOC complaint against both the client ARC Document Solutions and Robert Half. Robert Half immediately began to retaliate against me, paid me late, wouldn't pay out my sick time, wouldn't return government paperwork. The Oakland branch (the one that caused all the problems) never submitted me for another assignment (despite their promises to find me a replacement assignment), the San Francisco one submitted me for only one position in the 3 months after the assignment ended. Both Surbhi Pir (the Oakland manager), and Karen Warren, the district director, have been quite awful to me. Karen actually hung up on me when we spoke and said is under no obligation to speak to me, like she is above any responsibility for her employees. And the language they used was dismissive and condescending, I was apalled.I have a masters in finance from a London business school, I could have done about 90% of the jobs that had open and consistently emailed them openings I would like to be submitted for yet they still refused. Robert Half hired an attorney for my Department of Labor hearing (which is still open) and this attorney started harassing me at my new government position (California State Bar of all places) that I obtained through Randstad. Mr. M Brett Burns (the name is very fitting) would harass me, calling me on at work, emailing me 7 or 8 times a day, or I retained an attorney to file an EEOC and DFEH complaint. Since Robert Half refused mediation, they refuse to speak to my attorney (except the one time emailed and threatened to sue me for defamation of character if I didn't take this Yelp review down), or respond to the rebuttal we filed. We asked them if they would make a donation to an LGBT organization in lieu of a settlement.. I thought that was appropriate since I wasn't looking for money, and was fired and retaliated against, in part, for being gay. Of course, they never had the decency to even respond to this request. It has been over a year and a half since my complaints were filed and they are still under investigation.. and now I am having issues working with *any* office due to inappropriate comments on my Robert Half profile provided by their attorney as well as their customer service department. There are many better agencies out there: Accounting Principals treats their employees better and has the next largest client base to Accountemps. Randstad is good. Ledgent. Insight Global. Dewinter Group. I would recommend sticking to the smaller agencies as they will treat you with the respect you deserve, and you don't get lost in the shuffle.
