Overall Feedback:

I hired SMT to help me keep my small business taxes in line. However, last year they skipped doing 2 quarters worth of work until the end of the year. I paid monthly to get advice and projections quarterly. After finding they never did the work, I spoke to Steve the owner and told him I should be due a credit since they didn't do the work. He acknowledged that and also cited he had staffing issues although he had no issues automatically deducting my monthly payments and taking that for work he did not perform. I wound up owing A TON at the end of the year to which he said "I mentioned you should deduct more". Really???? Had my projections been done timely and specific amounts and updates done, I could have done more to address that. I had to fight with him to get a credit on a tax return to compensate for these issues. Then I tried in good faith to move forward with his services after his assurance he was now properly staffed. He never finished my last quarter of taxes though he was paid for it and here we are in December and I have no idea where my 2015 tax liability projections sit.
