I applied for a position and they called me back and wanted me to come in. A lady called me but I ended up coming in and speaking with Matt. I got there, professionally dressed, and I finished inputting my information before 3 people who were already sitting there before me so I sat and sat until I had to ask the receptionist if I could reschedule because I thought this was an actual appointment and not a first come first serve ( nor was I told before the “sit down” that I would be completing information on the computer). So I sit down with Matt, he speaks about setting up an interview with myself and Pegasus in the accounting dept. Wanted to know when I was available for interviewing and that he would get in touch with me no later then next Tuesday. Awesome so I thought...I ended up calling him back and leaving a voicemail. He ends up calling me back, but this is the kicker. It was 2 days later then when I called annnnnd he called me as if we had never sat down and like I was a totally new candidate. I called back of course and mentioned this in my voicemail and guess what? Never got a call back apologizing or even just a hey, they didn’t want to interview with you, but since we thought your resume was good enough to bring you in the office, let’s work with you or not. I’m a black woman, who dresses professionally and carries myself in a respectable manor. So I’m not sure what went wrong or where was the disconnect. But just beware, make sure you have time to waste because they obviously are a hit and miss.
