I have been a client at Tax and Accounting Professionals for several years. When Tom ran the business it was excellent! I never had a complaint. Unfortunately since he sold the business I've had nothing but problems. The staff has forgotten to file paperwork and then lied, stating that they already had. I assume they thought I wouldn't see the submission date listed. This happened twice, but I attempted to give them some grace, knowing ownership changes can come with some bumps. However, this year they made a serious error on my taxes that would have cost me thousands of dollars if I had not caught it myself. They were prepared to file my return as it was; somehow the fact that it was vastly different from the previous 5 years did not raise any red flags to recheck their work! In the midst of this, I couldn't get anyone to return my calls or emails. I had to call numerous times to finally get it fixed. Then I got my bill - increased from any previous year, despite all of these issues. Again, after a week of waiting for a response to my question regarding the bill I had to call again. I'm done. I wouldn't trust these people to file your taxes; if you don't know how to review them yourself, you may not catch their mistakes and be out a ton of money!
