My Roomate who is not on the lease refusing to leave at the end of my lease, So, I approached this law firm to my bad luck ! Paid $400 to serve the notice and $850 for the court appearance and $500 for the second appearance! I mentioned to them that my lease is ending and I wanted my roommate to get evicted! So, they served a 30 day notice to quit and the copy of that notice was never sent to me until I Ask them to do so. I received th copy of the notice after almost a month later! I see the apartment number was wrong and even in the court filings apartment number was wrong!! They had copy of my previous filing with th court and the address is clearly written but still they ended up making a mistake with my address!! They even made a mistake with legal retainer( at one place it was mention $850 and one paragraph below it was mentioned $950) legal retainer . The worst thing was I missed my court date because I was not aware of the court date and I was told by the law firm that they tried to reach out me and my voicemail was full! I didn’t see any record of it in my call log!! But as a professional courtesy any law firm would try to reach out to you or remind you that you’ve a court hearing on so and so date and time! I ended up pay another $500 for the second hearing!! One of the staff member was very rude to me and when tried to complain to the lawyer “Cintron” he said “im the only who is being very rude and harassing his stuff”!!! I was very disappointed and thought of hiring another attorney but it was too late because I’ve already paid them and my 2nd hearing date was approaching. So, I had to stick with them!! So, On my hearing day, This is what happened at the hearing; the judge told the lawyer that the notice he served to my Roomate is not the right one for my case and he reminded the lawyer that “ in the Young lawyers seminars, judge talked about different types of notices it seems a d apparently he ask the young lawyer ( Don’t you guys remember what I’ve told you in the seminars )” !! Now you could imagine my situation!! I was like WTH!! Judge dismissed all of the charges except for the non payment of rent and they lawyer did not say a word to make an argument!! I felt very helpless and Stressed out!! I wasted my time and money with this law firm. Staff: Poor communication, poor paper work and rudeAttorney : Lack of Knowledge in Landlord and Tenant litigations and not so knowledgeable.One of them “ Cintron” was rude.
