I believe I joined Essex back in the early nineties. I’ve temped both in Manhattan and New Jersey for the Essex Companies and have several, various incidents. Apart from the pay rates that stinks?! Most unfortunate and most disturbing, incidents whereby my time was not posted. And this did not happened once, nor twice; this happened three times and what could be so disappointing when one is expecting a check in the mail and having to wait 3 to five days for the check turned to two weeks. Then another incident, a check was sent to an address I had not used in 7 years. This also happened when Essex implemented the “Debit Card” pay and I thought it would help me get my hard earned monies sooner. No, not at all! Having faxed in my time as instructed for payroll the following Monday, the debit card supposed to be credited with my salary on Tuesday. No, it wasn’t there. It is only Essex’s Payroll Department that needs a total tuned up.Two employees who need to be complimented on their service and they are Sybil Erby and Ashley. (Don’t remember Ashley’s last name) Ashley I understand is no longer there; Ashley was in payroll and such an extremely nice individual. Yes, I think Ashley must have slipped up one time or another, but whatever the matter, she was very professional about it and emphasized her empathy and then immediately corrected her error. Sybil Erby I understand has retired. OMG!! That Sybil Erby was a genius! Just as beautiful as she looked/looks in person, her heart and communication with the temps were the same. Sybil Erby and Ashley, I miss you both!Today, I speak a lot with Sukhreet Brar. Sukhreet is in a league of her very own. Wonderful, wonderful, pleasant individual. I have the utmost respect for Sukhreet because she has love and respect for humanity. Always pleasant, you will never know that she has a “bad” day. We all have those sometimes and some of us are not able to conceal it. Sukhreet, hats off to you!I often speak with Martina Morrissey. Martina is pleasant, intelligent and professional and I truly give her my utmost respect. She too is great.Thanks for allowing this writing and if you work on anything to change things, please make it your Payroll Department.
