JD Lewis IV took five months to file my civil suit against two defendants. In court, defendants agreed to pay me a set amount and to return all of my possessions that they took. Defendants defaulted on both, their check bounced and they returned approximately one third of my possessions. It took JD IV another eight months to file a default with the court. On my way to the hearing JD IV informed me that we were going into a second mediation, instead of going in front of the Judge. He then let the defendants attorney run the show, which was a total waste of time. In my opinion, JD IV"s handling of this case was unprofessional and incompetent. During this whole period he refused to return my calls until I was forced to place two calls to the Florida Bar. I finally gave up and settled the case out of frustration. Therefore, I cannot in good conscience recommend this attorney.
