I applied and was accepted in early December, I wasn't assigned anything for a month. Then they didn't tell me that I wasn't going to be assigned any more work for nearly another month. Poor communication, inadequate preparation and almost no follow up. They don't pay for required training, which is illegal in Washington state.They do not give adequate information about jobs they assign or even 24 hours notice. For my first and only job with them. I was called at 3pm the day before and told it was "a housekeeping job at the new hotel they're building in (insert city), you know by the (multi branch bank). Be there by 7am." I was not told how long the shift was or even a correct address. Less than 24 hours notice. A text message with the wrong address and confusing directions. It was cleaning hotel rooms during construction. With a rag, 409, a swiffer, a bottle of an unidentified cleaning solution, and a broom. No safety equipment, no gloves, no warning I'd need anything. In some cases cleaning broken glass and drywall dust. No gloves, no mask. I did it anyway because bills still need to be paid. Assuming a 6 hour shift I arranged additional employment for the afternoon. For the cardinal sin of leaving before the shift end they hadn't told me about I have been stamped "unreliable" and that means they're not going to offer me anymore work. It took the better part of 4 weeks to tell me that while shouting at me over the phone. Office staff is aggressive when contradicted with facts and/or proof. Don't work with them if you have a choice. If you have to, document everything, record calls and take pictures of your working conditions. No one should have to get glass in their hands and knees for minimum wage.
