Roy Van Eck is an arrogant and disrespectful man to work with. Yesterday was my first appointment with Roy to file mine and my husband’s 2017 taxes. The snide comments and condescending attitude throughout the process was uncalled for and unprofessional. Getting accused of playing games by forgetting your receipt for a charitable donation is not ok. Asking for further explanation when the final amount owed to the IRS isn’t what I had prepared for, shouldn’t receive a response of “you don’t trust the way I do my work? You should take your business elsewhere.” There are plenty of internet services that can help you file taxes at home for a much smaller fee. Those of us who choose an accountant, is mainly for their expertise. However, this man is not an expert. He is not even a CPA.
