We had problems with our previous accountants when they merged with a much larger firm. Suddenly getting hold of the right people and getting useful answers became more difficult, and expensive. As we are a tiny company, just my partner and I, we realised we were small fish to them, and it was time to find a new firm. Wilson Howe seem to be a really good fit for us, big enough to supply the services we need, but small enough to be personable. We have been very happy with their work, and particularly like that they don't just talk in 'accountant speak', but are clear about different options that mean we can make meaningful decisions that suit our company. We are also pleased with the efficiency in which they completed our annual accounts and set up our payroll. We are very pleased we made the switch to Matthew, Emma and the team.

Having recently moved our accounts to Wilson Howe I can honestly say they have helped us as a company in so many ways in such a short time. We have had more help and advice from them in 6 months than we did in 10 years with our previous accountant! The whole team are a delight to work with and very patient with all our questions, giving us easy to understand advice. We cannot recommend them enough!

When I setup my own Ltd companies, I was recommended Wilson Howe Accountants by a good friend of mine, whose opinion I trust. They were not wrong. I understand where I stand, I have any issues explained, and their fees are really reasonable (especially when you compare them to some of the big accountancy firms). I prefer the more intimate service that Matt and the team offer, getting to know me, my company and working together to be tax efficient. I would happily recommend Wilson Howe to my friends and family.

Matthew has been my accountant for over 6 years. As a complete novice to all things accounts/tax-related and to setting up and running a company, it’s extremely important that I trust my accountant and their advice. Knowing that I have someone who takes care of all of my self-assessment and company affairs with such care and diligence has allowed me to truly minimize the time I have to spend on such matters and has freed me up to focus on running my business. Matt has a true knack for explaining things in layman’s terms, without making you feel stupid for asking! The guys at Wilson Howe are fantastic! As a small business I don't have time or the inclination to manage my own financial returns but the team here are fantastic! They understand my needs, help me understand what is expected of me as a business owner but ultimately remove all the paperwork headache from me as a small business owner. I cannot recommend them highly enough! If you need some assistance with your tax returns, payslips and financial admin then these guys are right up there. And reasonably priced too!

We wish we had met Matt & Emma a long time ago. We have recently switched over to them. They have already found ways to save us money that our previous accountant never told us about. The switch was done very smoothly. They return our emails/calls very quickly and we always find them to be very friendly & professional. Like most business owners, we are very busy & work long hours, 7 days a week - Matt takes care of all our Tax & Vat affairs & sends us pro-active reminders well in advance of deadlines.
